about us
At Irisbel Field Spaniels we believe passionately in ensuring that this much loved but vulnerable native English breed of Spaniel is given every opportunity to continue. We play our small part in this by supporting ethical and strong breeding lines and by promoting the wonderful and loving attributes of this very special breed. It is an inescapable fact that the future of this breed rests with the future breeding of strong healthy Field Spaniel puppies! We had our first litter in 2019.
Our kennel name (Irisbel) is registered with The Kennel Club and is a memorial to our late Mother, who was introduced to Field Spaniels late in her life and loved the Breed. Her Christian names were Iris Mabel.
We are active and supportive members of The Field Spaniel Society whose sole purpose is to manage all of the affairs of the Breed through various events. They organise seminars (to educate members and the general public on the Breed), working events and they also stage one Championship Show and Open Show each year.
